Packing

I'm going to be moving house soon. At least I hope I will - the process seems to be stretching out forever.

This afternoon was spent packing books into boxes. Its amazing how much space they take up, I need some more boxes. One nice thing about the process is that it is reminding me of great books that I haven't read in ages. I think that when I get settled in I'll have to start from the beginning of the eighth doctor novels, some of the titles in there I remember as being very good. Its a shame the series isn't as good as it used to be, but it might get a new lease of life when the new TV series starts next year. If nothing else it is forcing them to wrap up the tedious amnesia plotline that started a couple of years ago.

Moving is going to be an interesting challenge to arrange; thanks to Christmas most people are tied up with prior commitments, so getting help to shunt stuff about is going to be tricky. It might be past New Year before I can actually move most of my furniture across to the new place. Still, I'll be buying a new bed, so I'll be able to move in and get what little I can shunt across in the car somewhere sane before the large stuff arrives.
