Logic

The world seems to have given up on logic this week. The latest example being Between a rock and a hard place.

Neil Barrett points out that as Netscape, Mozilla et al are…

• not as widely targeted, and because
• they are better maintained

then switching to a non-IE browser will provide security benefits. This is when his logic starts to break down. According to Neil, his would only be a short term solution becuase if they become widely enough used to present an attractive target, then the hackers will find their vulnerabilities.

This seems to miss the point that they will still be better maintained.
