RPM Woes

This is a short rant.

I inherited a remote, production server a while ago. It has caused me problems before. After today though, I feel like sending an explosive somewhere with "rpm --nodeps this" painted on it.

Lesson of the day: If you want to install some packages from source, then make RPMs of them, don't break apt-get.
